Two Ranges. One Goal. Never Oiling Your Deck Again

Timber decking has a great first year. The grain is fresh, the colour is warm, and the whole thing looks exactly as intended. Then year two arrives, and you remember you were supposed to oil it last autumn. By year four it’s greying, a board has split at the end, and the gap between what it looked like and what it looks like now has become a gap between what you expected and what you got.

WoodEvo composite decking is built specifically for the Australian outdoors, the UV intensity, the temperature swings, the salt air at the coast and the dry heat inland, in two distinct ranges for two different levels of performance. The HOME Range delivers genuine quality for residential projects that want the timber aesthetic without the maintenance programme. The ADVANCED Range takes that further: Australia’s first CodeMark-certified PVC composite decking, with a 30-year warranty, R13 slip rating and NatureCool™ technology that keeps the surface cooler underfoot through Australian summers.

NatureCool™ Technology - Because Australian Summers Are Brutal

One of the persistent problems with dark composite decking in the Australian sun is surface temperature. Boards that absorb heat through the day can become genuinely uncomfortable to walk on barefoot by early afternoon, which defeats the purpose of a deck you’re supposed to enjoy in summer.
WoodEvo’s NatureCool™ technology is engineered to reflect sunlight rather than absorb it, the same principle as grass staying cooler than pavement in direct sun. On NatureCool™ colours, the deck surface stays up to 10–20°C cooler than standard boards under the same conditions. It doesn’t make your deck cold; it makes it walkable.

Where WoodEvo Decking Works

Residential entertaining areas

Backyard decks, alfresco areas and outdoor dining spaces – the HOME Range delivers the warmth and character residential clients expect from a deck, without the maintenance timber decking imposes on them every two to three years.

Pool surrounds and waterfront

The ADVANCED Range’s R13 slip rating and moisture resistance make it the appropriate specification for pool surrounds, spa areas and waterfront applications where safety underfoot and long-term water exposure are both design considerations.

Commercial terraces and hospitality

Rooftop terraces, restaurant outdoor areas and hotel pool decks that need the timber aesthetic with commercial-grade performance. The ADVANCED Range’s CodeMark certification and 30-year warranty support commercial specification with confidence.

Bushfire-prone areas

Both the HOME and ADVANCED ranges are rated to BAL29, suitable for use in designated bushfire attack level zones where timber decking is restricted or not advisable.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the WoodEvo HOME and ADVANCED decking ranges?
The HOME Range uses a wood-plastic composite (WPC) construction, wood fibre blended with polymer, providing a warm, textural surface with a 25-year warranty. The ADVANCED Range uses a foamed PVC core with ASA polymer capping, a higher-performance construction that delivers a better slip rating (R13), CodeMark certification, a 30-year warranty and NatureCool™ technology on a wider range of colours. The ADVANCED Range is the appropriate choice for commercial applications, pool surrounds and projects where maximum performance credentials are required.
CodeMark is an independent third-party certification scheme that verifies a product’s compliance with the NCC. WoodEvo ADVANCED is Australia’s first CodeMark-certified PVC composite decking, which means its performance claims have been independently assessed and verified, not just stated by the manufacturer. For commercial projects, architects and builders specifying a CodeMark-certified product have documentary evidence of NCC compliance that simplifies certification and approval processes.
Yes. The WoodEvo ADVANCED Range has an R13 slip rating, rated for wet barefoot areas, including pool surrounds and spa decks. The WPC-based HOME Range is also slip resistant and suitable for general outdoor residential use, but for pool surrounds and commercial wet areas, the ADVANCED Range’s confirmed R13 rating is the appropriate specification.
NatureCool™ works by reflecting solar radiation rather than absorbing it, the same principle that keeps grass cooler than paving in direct sun. The technology is built into the board surface on select WoodEvo colours and can reduce deck surface temperatures by up to 10–20°C compared to standard composite boards under equivalent sun exposure. It does not affect the colour appearance or texture of the board.
