The Composite Decking That Doesn't Look Like Composite

Most composite decking looks fine from a distance. Up close, in the hand, standing on it, you can tell it’s composite. It doesn’t have the warmth, the variation or the texture that makes natural timber decking feel right underfoot and look right in context. Millboard® solves this in a way other products don’t.

Millboard® panels are hand-moulded from real oak timber samples and then manufactured from a polyurethane resin reinforced with mineral fibres, 100% wood-free and 100% polymer-free. The result is a composite decking product that genuinely replicates the tactile and visual qualities of real oak, while outperforming it in every practical metric. CSP Architectural is the Australian supply partner for the full Millboard® range.

The Millboard® Range

Enhanced Grain Decking

The flagship Millboard® decking profile has deep grain, authentic knot detail and the kind of colour variation that makes it hard to distinguish from real oak at any distance. Available in a range of natural timber-toned colourways.

Weathered Oak Decking

A more silvered, sun-bleached finish that replicates the look of aged, driftwood-toned timber. Popular on coastal residential projects and beachside commercial developments where the weathered aesthetic suits the location.

Envello® Cladding Range

Millboard’s vertical cladding range, the same manufacturing philosophy applied to exterior wall surfaces. Profiles include Board & Batten and Shadow Line, extending the Millboard material palette from horizontal to vertical for a cohesive outdoor aesthetic.

Why Millboard® is Different

100% wood-free

No timber fibre, no plastic – polyurethane resin is reinforced with mineral fibres. Nothing that rots, nothing that swells, nothing that needs treating.

Hand-moulded from real oak

Every board profile is cast from an actual oak timber master, which is why the grain, knots and texture look genuinely natural rather than mechanically uniform.

Lastane® surface layer

Patented surface finish that's slip-resistant, stain-resistant and self-healing around fixings. Screws and nails close back up; the fixings stay hidden over time.

BAL19 rated

Millboard® is rated to Bushfire Attack Level 19, suitable for use in designated bushfire-prone areas across Australia.

25-year warranty

Backed by a 25-year limited residential warranty, which says more about confidence in the product than any specification sheet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Millboard® actually wood-free?
Yes. Millboard® contains no wood fibre and no plastic. It is manufactured from polyurethane resin reinforced with mineral fibres. This is what allows it to resist rot, swelling, splintering and algae growth even in wet or coastal conditions; the absence of timber and polymer is a deliberate engineering choice, not just a marketing claim.
Lastane® is Millboard’s patented surface treatment. It provides a slip-resistant texture underfoot, resists staining from common contaminants (oil, wine, and food), and, most unusually, is self-healing around fixings. When a fixing is driven through a Millboard® panel, the Lastane® surface closes back around the fixing point, keeping it hidden and protected over time. This is one of the features that distinguishes Millboard® from conventional composite decking products.
Yes. The absence of wood fibre and thermoplastic material means Millboard® performs well in environments with high moisture, UV exposure and salt air. It won’t rot, warp, swell or require sealing in coastal or waterfront conditions. The slip-resistant Lastane® surface makes it particularly appropriate for pool surrounds and wet outdoor areas.
